Poems in the Big City (Lit) and Radio Pre-emption next week

Hi again everyone,

It's basketball season once again, which means that WFDU will be broadcasting some games, like on December 8th, when Carnival of Song will be pre-empted. I'm looking forward to being back on the air with you on 12/15.

In other (good) news, I have two poems in the latest issue of BigCityLit.com. Here's a direct link, but check out the whole magazine when you have time -- many good poems in there and lots of other stuff too.

Take good care,

Lynn

Starting the New Year in Neon

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all doing well! Just wanted to let you know that I have 3 poems coming out in January in Neon Literary Journal. Here's a link to their site so you can check it out: http://www.fourvolts.co.uk/.

Here's a little taste of what they like, from the editors themselves:

Neon is weird and crazy and surreal and beautiful. It is published four times every year as a neat little book. It contains the writings of authors and poets and essayists from all over the world.

Neon is all about writing with imagination. Writing that hasn't been written a thousand times before. Stunning, stark, broken writing.

Neon is unique. That is why we started it.

I'm excited for my poems to be included with such stirring work! If you'd like to know more about Neon, you can virtually befriend 'em on MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/fourvoltspress

On the radio side of things, it's almost time for those infamous best of lists, so I'm busy remembering all the songs and albums I played that I just loved this year, like Joe Henry's Civilians, which is definitely making my list.

Here's wishing you stuff you love in the rest of this year and into the next... Cheers!
